(Data Controller) (¡°Samsung¡±) knows how important privacy is to its customers and their employees and partners, and we strive to be clear about how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information. This Privacy Policy provides an overview of our information practices with respect to personal information collected through or in relation to Samsung Plus (the ¡°Business Services¡±). 

 

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our personal information practices described in this Privacy Policy or changes in the applicable law. We will indicate at the top of this Privacy Policy when it was most recently updated. If we update the Privacy Policy, we will let you know in advance about changes we consider to be material by posting a notice on our website and/or by emailing you.

When using the Business Services, we collect and maintain information about you as detailed below.

 

¡¤         Account and management data: such as your name, e-mail address, language, and registration details.

¡¤         Employment and third-party source data: such as information we receive about you from your employer, service provider, or from publicly and commercially available sources (as permitted by applicable law), which may be combined with other information we received from or about you.

¡¤         Transaction and payment data: such as information about products and services that you or your employer have purchased or received, payment-related data, and other information provided in connection with a transaction.

¡¤         Device and usage data: such as hardware information and software information, device identifiers and unique identifiers (such as device models, OS versions, device configurations and settings, IP addresses), log and usage information (such as diagnostic, technical, and error data, and time and duration of use of the Business Services, and error reports and dump logs), user interaction data (including touch interactions and other inputs), and where permitted by applicable law and subject to your prior consent (where required) and your device or application settings, location-related information (such as coarse location or GPS-based location).

¡¤         Business Services content and integration data: such as content and data related to your use of the Business Services, including content and communications you provide through the Business Services (such as apps you use, pictures, calendar entries), as well as content and data obtained from Samsung and third-party apps, websites, and services that are accessed or integrated with the Businesses Services to provide Business Services.

¡¤         Cookies and similar technology: information stored in cookies that we have set on your device and/or on the Business Services.

¡¤         Communications about the Business Services: such as communications and related content (including media files) that you send to or receive from us in connection with the Business Services.

 

How do we use your information?

 

We use information we collect in relation to the Business Services for the following purposes:

 

¡¤         To provide the Business Services and to register or authenticate you or your device for the Business Services, including enabling location-based features or regional functionality where applicable.

¡¤         To respond to your questions or requests for information.

¡¤         To offer better and more customized products and services that take into account your usage of the Business Services, or your company¡¯s purchasing history and service record and other relevant information.

¡¤         Subject to your consent where required by applicable law, to inform you about new products and services;

¡¤         For assessment and analysis of our market, customers, products, and services (including asking you for your opinions on our products and services and carrying out customer surveys).

¡¤         To understand the way you use the Business Services so that we can improve them and develop new products and services.

¡¤         To provide maintenance services (including software updates) and to maintain a sufficient level of security on the Business Services.

¡¤         To protect the rights, property, or safety of Samsung, or any of our respective affiliates, business partners, employees or customers, for example, in legal proceedings, internal investigations and investigations by competent authorities.

¡¤         To comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including responding to lawful requests by competent authorities.

¡¤         Otherwise with your separate consent where required by applicable law or as described to at the time your information is collected.

¡¤         Subject to your consent where required by applicable law, to communicate with you regarding Samsung Plus certification and provide notifications, content, alerts, offers, promotions, marketing materials, and other communications.

 

Through the Business Services, we may collect personal information about your online activities on websites and connected devices over time and across third-party websites, devices, apps and other online features and services. We may use third-party analytics services on the Business Services, such as those of Google Analytics. The service providers that administer these analytics services help us to analyze your use of the Business Services and improve the Business Services. The information we obtain may be disclosed to or collected directly by these providers and other relevant third parties who use the information, for example, to evaluate use of the Business Services, help administer the Business Services and diagnose technical issues. (ii) To promote our business interests (for example, to improve the Business Services) (legitimate interest);

(iii) To comply with the law, regulatory obligations and legal processes; and

To whom do we disclose your information?

 

We will disclose your information internally within our business and the following entities, but only for the above purposes.

 

¡¤         Subsidiaries and affiliates: Samsung-branded and non-branded subsidiaries and affiliates which we control or own.

¡¤         Third parties/controllers: partners we work together with to provide you with the Business Services. For example, marketing and project management companies.

Submissions that you make to public areas of a website, mobile application, or other online service, such as bulletin boards may be viewable to other users of the Business Services. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how other users of the Business Services may use this information. We take data protection seriously. We¡¯ve put in place physical and technical safeguards to keep the information we collect secure.

 

Where do we send your data?

 

Your use of our Services will involve the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal information within and outside of your country of residence where necessary. In particular, your personal information will be transferred to the Republic of Korea.
